The Board of Directors of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation today announced that Kaitlyn Kenney Walsh, who currently serves as the Foundation’s vice president of policy and research, has been selected as the new president and CEO effective January 1, 2026, replacing President and CEO Audrey Shelto, who will retire on December 31 after more than a decade leading the organization.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, in partnership with
Manatt Health, today released Faces of MassHealth: Coverage Across the Commonwealth, a new version of a report that combines enrollment data for MassHealth, the state’s Medicaid program, with personal stories developed by Health Care For All (HCFA), and Ecu-Health Care. The report better illustrates how central the program is in caring for more than one in four Massachusetts residents.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation today released a new report, in partnership with William James College, that finds that systemic barriers in the state’s licensure process are making it hard for aspiring clinicians of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and nonnative English speakers to enter and remain in the behavioral health workforce.
