Public Health Institute of Western MA (PHIWM) supports communities in their efforts to become measurably healthier and more equitable through community engagement, convening collaborative partnerships, communications, data analysis, research and evaluation, and policy advocacy. PHIWM will provide convening and facilitation support to develop a prevention-based community coalition in Chicopee for the Advancing Health Equity in Massachusetts (AHEM) project. PHIWM will advance the coalition as it continues to identify and understand community needs, interests and best practices/strategies related to maternal health or the social drivers of health that impact cardiometabolic conditions and maternal-perinatal morbidity.
