Maia BrodyField develops and implements communication strategies that broaden the impact of the Foundation’s grantmaking and policy activities, manages board and corporate relations, and oversees the coordination and administration of the operating budget. She is also responsible for leading a number of projects related to the strategic focus areas of the Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Maia held numerous policy and programmatic positions during nearly 20 years at the Boston Public Health Commission, which is the city of Boston’s health department. Maia also served as the agency’s chief of staff, implementing major agency and mayoral health initiatives and playing a leadership role in managing several high-profile public health emergencies in the city, including the Boston Marathon bombing and the H1N1 flu pandemic. Maia serves on the board of the Shattuck Child Care Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health from Boston University’s School of Public Health and is a proud graduate of the Boston Public Schools.
